Why does my Team Fortress 2 keep saying 'retrieving server information' when I click 'start playing'?

I installed TF2 and after 7 hours of installing everything seemed to be working perfectly but the online play. I clicked 'start playing' and it just says 'retrieving server information please wait.' So I waited about a half an hour and it still said it. So I uninstalled and reinstalled it, which took another 7 hours, and it says the same thing. I've tried restarting my steam, reinstalling the game, restarting my computer, and also restarting my router but nothing seems to change or help. Any ideas on why this is happening or what I can do to fix it? Thanks!

Will my kitten lose his markings?

many times cats don't look the same as they did when they were kittens. the lines could become darker or lighter. it's not really something you can predict, since most cats are just a general domestic shorthair there is no distinct way the colors come and go. my cat is a lot darker then she was when she was a kitten. she barley had any stripes and was just a light tan little fluff ball. now she is tan with dark and light stripes and spots. it'll just be a waiting game to see!

Conduit Bender Markings (Tool)?

I believe that the asker has bought an early version of a modern day conduit bender. I remember learning to bend conduit with a bender with no markings. A few years later I saw a wookmate that had a bender with markings. I thought that was the coolest thing. Of course now all benders have the markings on the sides. I'm not sure how to measure and describe the markings to you in a way that you could duplicate them.

What breed is my kitten/cat Dillion?

He is about 8 months old. Healthy as could be. We have tried looking it up, but the only thing we have found is that he had the markings of a mackerel tabby. New marking on skin, not sure what it is?

Hi everyone. I have not told anyone yet as I recently realized this but about a month ago I saw these three large pale freckle looking things on my neck. I just realized they are still there, I'm kind of worried. I tried to wash them off and scratch them off (I know thats silly but I didnt know what to do lol). I felt them and they feel SLIGHTLY different then the rest of my skin. They look like a large very light colored freckle. I was wondering what this could possibly be? I'm not sure what skin cancer looks like, I thought it only showed in freckles and moles, not make new skin markings. Could it be skin cancer? Or maybe liver spots, that older people (like around the 80's) usually get?? Do liver spots come from liver failure? Is that possible for a 20 year old? Twin black kittens in a litter of five?

How common is it to see kittens so identical that you truly can't tell them apart? They are nine weeks old, and one was slightly smaller than the other at first, but now they are identical in every way we can see. No markings. Identical eyes. Very large ears and very long legs and tail. Their three siblings are nearly identical gray silky (almost long hair but not quite) with blue-green eyes. I've never seen kittens this gorgeous. Their mother looks very much like the two black kittens: very long slender legs and tail, large ears, but her eyes are more gold than green. The gray kittens are almost impossible to tell apart too. Has anyone heard of this sort of consistency in a mixed breed litter?

Why can't I view the current players in my game whenever I play Team Fortress 2?

I click shift + tab to view the steam window, and then I click view players, so I can add friends or see their profile. But instead of seeing the players on that server, I get a message that reads, "No Steam users reported by game server." This has only started recently, about the time the Uber Update came. My "bestfriend" help please..?

Second, it looks to me like that big German Shepard is a bad vicious dog. My lawn tractor over heated will it still work later?

I really like Jack William and Lila (but not Addison, it's masculine and the name of a disease), they are very classy names. I think of Brooklyn as a trashy sort of name. Faith is overdone and boring, but not bad. Britton is horrendously bad and Grace is really popular but still very pretty. Ryan is absolutely terrible for a girl! Elizabeth is a good name, though I'm not a huge fan of it. Eliot McKenna... Eliot is a masculine name and doesn't sit well on girls, it's terrible. Is it just me or 'Duke Nukem Forever Demo' for PC is really slow?

It might be your computer. I literally just downloaded the demo about an hour ago and I get 60+ frames per second on my gaming laptop. If you have a steam then I am sure that you are a gamer and have sufficient components and probably surpass the recommended system requirements. There may be an error is the graphics coding or something like that. I'm not even sure graphics coding is even a real term. I know its something like that. Try uninstalling and reinstalling it.

GTA IV Fatal Error: RMN40?

I bought GTA 4 from Steam a little while ago, and now all of a sudden when i go to play it, this error pops up stating i need to have service pack 3 or higher to proceed. The weird part is that i have downloaded this service pack and yet this error still pops up. When i proceed to try to run LaunchGTA in compatibility mode using Windows Xp service pack 3, i receive the same message as though it ignores the fact i am already using service pack 3. My computer is running Windows 7, which is why all of the solutions posted on the internet about this problem do not really help.

Hi Brooke. I've had dwarf hamsters as pets for years, and handle them constantly. I have never heard of people catching anything like you are describing from them, and nothing has every happened to me. Of course, as with all animal contact, i do wash my hands really good every time i handle them, or clean their cages. If you're worried about it, just call a vet's office, and ask them. They usually are more then willing to answer questions over the phone. I've done it many times, and they have always been very helpful. Like i said, always make sure you wash really good after cleaning their cage, or touching them, because i know you can get sick from not doing that. Good luck :-)

its possible to get things from hamster but its not likely that is what is causing it. they seem healthy and happy and you haven't gotten a bite. unless you have been giving them a little friendly kiss on the head (like some people do to cats or dogs and that kinda stuff) and there sick. it is very unlikely that it is the hamsters

What happened to my fish?

I was out of town for a week or so and got my room-mate to take care of my fish. I returned this morning to discover that one of my swordtails had become extremely bloated. She was so bloated that she was belly-up, her eyes were bulging out, and her scales were pushed forward, almost as if they were fuzzy. I knew she didn't have much longer to live. Does anyone have any idea on what happened to my fish? I've had cases of bloat before, but never this big...before she died I switched her into another tank so the other fish wouldn't eat her remains and pick up whatever she had. hello...i have a kitty that has all the markings of a siamese cat and very blue eyes. But I know her mom was a complete black cat with yellow eyes. Is my kitty still consider a siamese or does she needs both parents to be siamese to be a real siamese? Her coat is also getting darker...and she definitely behaves as a siamese..the smarter and more social cat I've ever had...

My quad just makes a rapid clicking noise when I try to start it, any idea why?

It was working fine, had it out for a ride, but then I turn it off. Next time (about 5 min later) when I tried to start it up, just got a clicking noise. I was able to locate the noise, was coming from 2 red wires joined by a fuse. There was a second fuse above that fuse that when you closed the plastic case they were in, looks like they touched together. I thot the second fuse might be a spare so I swapped them, same sound. If you take the fuse out that is not directly touching the wires, get same sound. There is no sound if you take them both out. Also, is there a way to tell what fuse I need if that is the problem, there are no markings on these fuses that I can see.

STEAM: why is Steam doing this to me?

So I downloaded steam, made my username my real name, and downloaded team fortress 2. I then realized that the username I picked was my online game name, so I switched the contact email and made a brand new account with the same email I used for the last account, because that's my primary email. Anyway, I launched team fortress 2, went into a game, and it displayed my name to be my real name!!! Even though on my account it shows the new account I created. Help identifying snake?

I'm on a NW MIssouri farm and keep seeing this snake in my pond. I will pay more attention to the head shape next time I see it. It is a medium length, maybe 2.5 to 3 feet, but stocky-bodied, black with brown hour-glass shaped markings. From pictures I have looked up, it is not a copperhead or water moccasin, unless there is a variety that is black bodied with lighter markings. The markings are a horizontal stripe on the back that widens to a diamond shape on the sides.

OK, so when I open TF2 and go to the "browse servers" tab then there are no servers showing. In my history there are servers, as this started happening yesterday. I tried: Using the steam client beta, Filtering the steam servers(no servers show up for any games), turning off the firewall, and that's it. Help me find the servers please!

I have an 8 week old kitten named MoonPaw. He is a short hair tortoise shell, with mainly dark gray fur. He has 6 lighter gray striped going from his head down his tail. Found an injured pigeon; What can I do to help it?

I found a white pigeon with certain brown markings the other day in Orange Crest. It couldn't fly so I checked it and it's wing was really injured. When I took it home, I cleaned it up real good and found that it had a giant splinter in it's wing, which I pulled out. I think that it may have been attacked by an animal in the neighborhood. It looks very healthy besides it's wing. He has a healthy appetite and everything. Currently I am cleaning the wound with hydrogen peroxide 3 times daily since I am not sure that triple antibiotic is safe for it. I also wanna bandage it's wing so that it doesn't move it around a lot but everything I try, it gets pulled off. Help! My Uncle's Farm Cat had some Kittens two days ago?

Firstly.... AWWWWWWWWWEEESSS. Ok now that I got that out.. lol... It takes at least 8-10 days for kittens to open their eyes, I think mine started to open theirs around day 5 and they were fully opened by 2 weeks, and usually begin walking a bit by 2 weeks of age, mine started scooting and crawling like day 2, but they really began walking and playing by 3 weeks of age. It all depends on nature and how healthy and strong they are. The mother should let you touch the kittens right away if she's comfortable with you (the cat I had I got only a few weeks before giving birth and she wouldn't let me leave her side, I had to help her with the birthing process, and we did lose a kitten, so she let me pet and cuddle and hold them like as they were born). It all depends on her. As for genders, I could tell mine a few weeks after birth. MOSTLY all orange/white striped kittens are male, it's rare (so i've heard) for a female to be orange/white. Ive seen beige/white striped females though. And the marked one could be either. I know Calico are usually female (just like mentioned above situation), but as I said, you can never be 100% sure that way... Just do some reaserch on what the back ends look like, my kittens had prodominent testicles from what I could tell. Also compare them all... You may have all males. I know Males have more length between their butt and genitals then females. If you need any more info let me know. Good Luck :)

white spots have cleared on my black finned oranda.... however he is now hiding a lot. he is only a lil baby... 2 inches... minus the tail. dont want him to die! i looked closely a him and his tail has white chalk like markings there where as when i got him he was all black... is this from the white spots or is this fin rot setting in? if i change water he gets more active for a bit (1/2hr) then goes behind the plants :( dont want to take the plants out if that makes him feel safer. i have been told by Maidenhead Aquatics not to feed him for 24hrs and see if he gets better. and to keep using the spot cream for another week. o and they checked my water levels and said all was good... but to do 20% water changes every other day until he gets fully recovered. they didnt recommend salt as i said i was wary of killing them by overdoing it. PLEASE HELP :)

Need help on identifying ring?

From what I can see, it says 14K and 925, so it's sterling silver and gold. It looks like only the top and bottom ring are gold and the middle part is sterling silver. I wouldn't be too sure that the stones are diamonds. Without testing, no-one can say that for sure. It's a nice ring and cost probably around the $300-400 brand new (depending on the quality of the stones). Second hand, I would expect you to get around $150 (more if they are diamonds, but they are still small stones nonetheless).

Is it safe to breathe fumes from a melted carbon filter?

So I read online that if you put an activated carbon filter in the oven for a little bit it can reactivate the carbon. I did that and went to the store and when I came back like 20 minutes later huge amounts of steam was coming out of the oven and the whole house is filled with the smell of sharpie. I opened the oven and the carbon filter was completely burned to a crisp, crumbling into dust at any touch. Wtfh? I don't understand why this happened, but my question is whether these fumes are toxic because the house is full of it...

Why is my computer freezing while playing TF2 and full screen videos?

Sorry, I don't have all the specs of my computer. It is fairly new, a year or two old, with windows 7. I've ran 4 or 5 programs to scan for viruses, and to defrag the computer. since about a year ago every time I viewed a video (on youtube for example) in FULL SCREEN, my computer froze and went black, looping the last half second of audio over and over until I shut it off. This did not happen immediately, but after a seemingly random amount of time after going full screen. I just recently downloaded TF2 (Team Fortress 2) from Steam, and It has the same problem. After a seemingly random amount of time it freezes and loops audio etc. Ive even played it in windowed mode and it still does this. I cant tell what's wrong, if anyone could help I'd be very appreciative, thanks!

For 2 months I've had loose, flabby and dry skin all over my belly for 2 months, and it doesn't go away?

Any suggestions. Here's a bit more detail. I have not lost weight, nor lost fat/muscle. I've had pretty much the same weight/fat percentage for a very long time, 6 months. If I've lost any weight it was like a pound or two. What caused the loose skin was a weird encounter at the pool. I went for a swim, but I decided to rest and I happened to be close to a pipe, with a pretty strong steam of water coming out of it, so I decided to massage my entire belly region with the stream, especially around my belly button. The massage felt so nice, lasted about 2 minutes. When I came out of the pool, my belly skin was literally hanging LOOSE. It's been 2 Months now, and there's no imporvement, there's loose, very flabby, and dry skin over my whole abdominals and it doesn't seem to go away at all. I've tried all kinds of lotions, but with no success. Even when im walking, the skin feels extremely loose and sensitive. My body fat is pretty low,, I'm wondering what to do to fix this problem. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do?, everything is appreciated.

Bioshock 2 Little Sisters, where are they?

So I just bought Bioshock 2 today (Pretty epic game so far) and I'm in the level where you gotta fight you way to the old black lady then either spare her or kill her. I found one sister no problem and collected my ADAMS but the other two (I believe it's 2 because when I finished the level and reached the train it pop'd up with a messaged warning me to go get the other 2 sisters to upgrade my powers) are missing. I opened the map and searched each level but there are no markings indicating where they are. I even heard one in the pawn shop area talking but no matter where I look I can't find her (She's stopped talking as well so I assume she's no longer there). I did find another Big Daddy and killed him but there was no little sister around, do they just pop up randomly? I read that any sisters you don't rescue now move on to the next level, is that what happens? I really don't want to do that entire level all over again >.>

I thought it was very descriptive of the details and created a scenario I could see in my head and almost experience with my senses. You gave enough detail but did not overdue it to the extent of boredom. When people read fiction they want the experience of feeling like they are there. Just keep finding descriptions of detail that triggers the readers senses. Like right now I am thinking of chocolate! I can see it, smell it and taste it though I have not even bought it yet:) Just keep in mind it is easier to make the reader experience something they have actually experienced. When it comes to something less common, pay special attention to the key details to make it come alive. Your little excerpt here scores an A+ in my book!!

I have no idea which laptop to get. I have not bought a laptop before. I want something with a large screen. What are these light spots?

Things i would change about Red Dead Redemption to make it the best game ever!?

I would agree 100% with you. I would maybe even add more things like maybe fishing and be able to skin the animals and do more things in multiplayer. There are a ton of things that can be done to improve the game, but you have to admit, the game is amazing. The reason why you don't see kids though, is the fact that there is a law against shooting kids on games. I would have no problem seeing kids in the game, I would even want to interact with them, but a number of kids would shoot to kill them. There is also a law against animal cruelty in a game, yet they bypassed it, due to being natural to survive in the game. If you have any more ideas, let me know and I may be able to get a bunch of people to tell Rockstar.

hi i bought a cockatiel which is 100% male, someone said to me that he is pearl male, now my question is that he is molting feathers his tail complete dark grey but on the tail one longest feather is silver grey and on this feather very very very light white barring, and under side wing all primary and secondary feathers are grey but on the major coverts there are still pearl markings and on his face except bright cheek patch some very light and very small orange patches on below the beak on the head. now plz tell me is it pearl male cockatiel or some other???? he makes too noise and too much whistling also stand as heart shape wing, and his tail is very very long thx plz must reply thx again

Counter-Strike Server Finder Help?

When I fully refresh the server list in steam's counter-strike, the wrong map shows up. For example, i join a map that says de_dust2 and it comes up with de_westwood. Is there any fix. Death Memorials on roadway?

I understand that some people find comfort in creating memorials at the site of the death, but it's always seemed a bit ghoulish to me. Why would you want to be reminded of the exact place a loved one passed away every time you drive by? And you're right that it is a distraction to other drivers. It's actually against city regs in my town--only signs etc. authorized by the township can be placed on "public property" along the roadways. Everything else, such as memorials, signs for yard sales etc is removed by the road crews.

There's this guy Hayden who I like. We're really really good friends and we talk about everything. We have gone out before, but it was just for 4ish days. Yeah I know. Pretty lame, right? STEAM: why is Steam doing this to me?

So I downloaded steam, made my username my real name, and downloaded team fortress 2. I then realized that the username I picked was my online game name, so I switched the contact email and made a brand new account with the same email I used for the last account, because that's my primary email. Anyway, I launched team fortress 2, went into a game, and it displayed my name to be my real name!!! Even though on my account it shows the new account I created. Mysterious lumps on genitals, STI or something less severe?

In the past few days I've had a lump develop under the skin of my gential area, quite near to my pantyline. The lump is quite flat and does not hurt or itch (unless I apply pressure to it), and has some tiny white markings on it. I have experienced something similar in the past, however they were more like spots/blisters and popped, they have left no scarring. Team Fortress 2 crashes during opening?

I downloaded TF2 after it became free from Steam. The first time I tried to open it, it made it just past the Valve clip in the opening before the screen disappeared. The entire time, the screen for TF2 stayed small and centered in my screen. I've checked the system requirements, possible interference by anti-virus programs, and my game cache. Transmission Question (Mechanic's POV)?

Hello. I am looking towards a used 2009 corolla LE from a private party. The man owns a transmission shop and we checked his car there. It currently has a clear title, no accident carfax, and 37,000 miles. It was last serviced at a toyota dealership around 32,000 miles. BUT when we checked under the hood, I noticed there were 2 blue digits markings on top on the transmission. How do i know if the car's transmission was touched/tampered, you know. The digits were like hand written with "37" Is this normal or what? I know he owns a shop, so who know what happened on the down low without carfax/dealer knowing... but then again the mileage is 37,000, which is not bad and new.. the engine should not be acting up with that mileage.. your opinion? Why can't I view the current players in my game whenever I play Team Fortress 2?

I click shift + tab to view the steam window, and then I click view players, so I can add friends or see their profile. Is this a speed camera van or not?

I was driving on the M5 yesterday when I noticed a van with clear police markings parked on top of one of the bridges on the opposite side of the motorway. It appeared as though it could have been checking the speed of cars by their rear number plates. I did not see any tripod or police officers operating any equipment outside the van just noticed the black window open facing towards traffic moving away from it. What color will my horse shed out to be?

She was born a dun with a dorsal and zebra strips, but no black markings. Her head already is growing fresh hair that is a little darker than a buckskin. She is almost two months old and her sire is black and dam buckskin/gray. She also has black hair on her forehead in a star pattern, and her dorsal stripe is still there.
