My dad's mother's , mother gave him a stradivarius violin when he was a young boy. he just passed away two wee?

my dad passed a way two weeks ago at the age of 81. his mother's mother had given the violin to her, then she gave it to him, and now i have it. it does have the markings in the violin. how can i have it checked to see if it is real or just a copy?
